Eastern Europe Photo Road Trip

Die Pläne für den Eastern Europe Photo Road Trip werden immer solider. Die Tour soll nun im späten Frühjahr/Frühsommer 2023 stattfinden und wird wahrscheinlich Berlin, Dresden, Prag, Wien, Budapest und Transylvanien (Zentralrumänien) in einem Zeitrahmen von 10 Tagen umfassen. Geplant ist ein Road-Ttrip in einem Tesla Model 3, das sich sehr gut für solche Touren eignet. Die Ladeinfrastruktur entlang der gesamten Strecke ist hervorragend.

Gruppengröße:
Mit einer Gruppengröße von 2 bis 3 Reisenden werden wir sehr flexibel sein. Außerdem wird dadurch das Infektionsrisiko gering gehalten.

Zwei Touren:
Es handelt sich eigentlich um zwei 10-tägige Touren:

Tour 1 beginnt in Berlin und endet mit der Rückreise vom Flughafen Sibiu in Rumänien.
Tour 2 verläuft in umgekehrter Richtung: Sie beginnt in Siebenbürgen und führt zurück nach Berlin.

Maßgeschneidert:
Da die Gruppen sehr klein sein werden, ist das quasi eine private Tour. Chris gibt zwar eine Reiseroute und alle Fotoziele vor, aber wir treffen uns online als Gruppe und planen die Details gemeinsam. So habt ihr viel Einfluss. Wer das nicht möchte, kann sich auch einfach zurücklehnen und sich treiben lassen.

Die Fahrten:
An den Stops werden die Abende und die nächsten Morgen super fürs Fotografieren geeignet sein. Wir werden über Mittag zum nächsten Ort fahren, in unser nächstes Hotel einchecken und dann wieder zum Fotografieren aufbrechen. Alles unter der Leitung von Chris Marquardt. Die meisten der Fahrten werden rund 3 Stunden dauern. Unterwegs werden wir immer wieder anhalten, um uns zu erfrischen und Dinge zu fotografieren, die uns am Wegesrand auffallen. Flexibilität ist der Schlüssel.

Hotel (9 Nächte im Doppelzimmer, Einzelzimmer gegen Aufpreis)
Spannende Reiseroute mit vielen tollen Fotomöglichkeiten
Mahlzeiten (Frühstück/Mittagessen/Abendessen)
Transport während des Workshops
Unterricht durch Chris Marquardt
Eintrittsgelder
Flughafentransfers in Rumänien

Nicht enthalten sind:

Eigener Transport nach/von Berlin oder Rumänien
Snacks außerhalb der angebotenen Mahlzeiten
Getränke

Kosten:
Die Details und Kosten sind noch in Planung, aber es sieht so aus, als ob der Reisepreis für diese 10-tägige Tour im Bereich von 4500 € pro Person liegen wird. Bis die erste Buchung da ist, gibt es auch Möglichkeit, eine der Touren komplett für sich zu kaufen und/oder die genauen Reisedaten zu beeinflussen.

Eastern Europe Photo Road Trip

The plans for the Eastern Europe Photo Road Trip have further solidified. The tour is now expected to take place in late spring/early summer 2023 and will likely cover Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Transylvania (aka central Romania) in a 10-day timeframe. This is planned to be a road trip in a Tesla Model 3, which is perfect for road trips. The charging infrastructure along the entire route is excellent.

Group size:
The group size of 2 to 3 travelers will keep us super flexible. It will also help keep the infection risk low.

Two tours:
These are actually two 10-day tours:

Tour 1 will start in Berlin and end with your return trip from Sibiu airport in Romania.
Tour 2 will be the reverse, starting in Transylvania and moving back up northwest to Berlin.

A bespoke tour:
As the groups will be very small, this is akin to a private tour. Chris will provide an itinerary, but we will meet online as a group and plan out the details together, so you have lots of influence if that's what you like. Or you can lean back and just go with the flow.

The drives:
At the different stops, the evenings and next mornings will be perfect for photography. We will drive to the next location over mid-day, check into our next hotel and then go out shooting again. All under the guidance of Chris Marquardt. Most of the drives will be in the range of about 3 hours. There will be stops on the way to refresh and to photograph things we happen to notice. Flexibility is key.

Hotel (9 nights in a double room, single rooms available at extra cost)

What's not included:

Your own transport to/from Berlin or Romania
Snacks outside of the provided meals

Cost:
The details and cost aren't fully fleshed out yet, but it looks like the tour price for this 10-day tour will be in the vicinity of € 4500 per person. Details pending. If you're quick, you will also have the option to completely buy out one of the tours for yourself and/or influence the exact dates.
